Card Making Project - Poinsettias Topper Card
Made by Madeleine
For those of you who don't have a die cutting machine Madeleine has made this Christmas card using papers from the Frosted Lace paper pack and a die cut foiled topper from the Poinsettias sheet.
If you are starting to panic because you still have lots of Christmas cards to make then this one can be made in under half an hour. It's also a suitable project for anyone who is new to card making.
The paper packs that we sell are chosen because they have papers that work well together so you'll always have papers to hand that will mix and match perfectly with one another.
The card is simply matting and layering. To add interest the upper mat has been cut so there is more border at the top and bottom than the sides; the lower mat is cut so there is more border at the sides than the top and bottom; and the matted layers have been glued to the card blank at an angle.

The first step is to cover the card blank using the holly and snowflake paper from the Frosted Lace paper pack. Trim the paper to 148 x 148 and flue to the front of the card. Put to one side.
Cutting the Mats
Cut the mats to measure:
Stardream Crystal 108mm x 123mm
Light blue on green holly paper 102 x 119mm
Glue the holly paper to the Stardream Crystal card with photo glue and leave to dry.
Stardream Mars Card 92mm x 99mm
Green on pink holly paper 88mm x 95mm
Glue the green and pink holly paper to the Stardream Mars card and leave to dry.
Putting the Mats and Topper Together
Push out the card topper and, using photo glue, glue it on the green and pink holly paper leaving a 10mm border at the top and bottom and a 5mm border at each side.
Apply 3D foam tape to the back of the Stardream Mars card and glue to the blue and green holly paper leaving a 10mm border at each side and a 5mm border at the top and bottom.
Apply 3D foam tape to the back of the Stardream Crystal card and glue onto the card blank at an angle.
