Card Making Project - Snowmen Fall From Heaven
Made by Madeleine
Combining Marianne Design and Memory Box dies creates this snow scene with the Marianne Filigree Snowman as the central feature. To give it that seasonal wintry feel Madeleine used Stardream Vista
for the backing paper and lots of iridescent white glitter card.
The card was made using the Xcut Xpress and the Spellbinders A4 M-Bossabilities Dainty Dots to emboss the Stardream Vista paper. If you don't have an A4 die cutting machine you can still make this card - just leave the Vista smooth - as all the dies can be cut in a Cuttlebug or Big Shot.
You need a die cutting machine to make this card.

The Background
Cut a piece of the Stardream Vista paper to measure 148 x 148mm and, if embossing, run it through an A4 die cutting machine using the single dot side of the A4 M-Bossabilities fold. Glue to the front of the card blank using photo glue and leave to dry.
The Die Cuts
Cut pieces of the iridescent white glitter card slightly larger that the 2 Memory Box dies and both the Marianne Filigree Snowman and Filigree Snowman background dies. Run through each one through the die cutting machine to cut. You may want to use wax paper with the intricatr Memory Box dies between the die and the card for easier removal.
Using the piece of Stardream Crystal card run it through the die cutting machine with the Filigree Snowman background die and then run through the piece of deep blue glitter paper with the Filigree Snowman die.
Using photo glue adhere the iridescent white glitter Filigree Snowman to the iridescent white glitter Filigree Snowman background. Pick out the hat and scarf pieces of the deep blue glitter paper Filgree Snowman and glue them into place.
The Stamped Wording
Lightly wipe over the Stardream Crystal Snowman background with the antistatic bag.
Using the royal blue ink, ink up your stamp and stamp the wording onto the Snowman background die cut. Sprinkle over the crystal transparent embossing powder and shake the excess back into the tub. Heat emboss using a heat gun for a few minutes until the embossing powder gives a raised gloss effect on the wording.
Putting the Card Together
Glue the Memory Box Frostyville Corner die cut in the top left hand corner of the card.
Place the glitter Filigree Snowman and the Stamped Snowman background die cuts at angles so that the glitter snowman slightly overlaps the stamped background and stick down into place.
Add the Snowflake Corner die cut to the bottom right corner. It will slightly overlap the Snowman stamped background.
Madeleine uses photo glue for gluing aqll the die cuts in place. Gluing die cuts as intricate as the Memory box ones with photo glue can end up with more glue on the card maker than on the die cuts so here's a tip: squeeze some photo glue onto a spare piece of acetate and spread it a little - then swirl the die cut on the acetate until the back of the die cut is evenly covered with the glue.
Randomly place nine 3mm glitter pearls at the top right of the card (this is easier if you've used the embossing folder as you can use the embossed dots as a guide).
